Quick start Guid

Summary: Input the web address which contains Youtube videos, modify the output settings as you want, it will be downloaded automatically.

Step1: There are 3 different ways to tell "Download Youtube Music" which video/music you want to download. Choose one method you like.

• Drag the link to the drop zone directly

  Click the Youtube video link, do not release your mouse key, move to the drop zone (click button to open or close the drop zone), then release the mouse key.

  Hint: You can drag the Youtube video link from any webpages (even not in Youtube website) to start the download. For example, if you saw a Youtube video in someone's blog, you can drag the link to drop zone direclty to download it.

• Input the web address manually

You can click the New Download button to start a new task. Then input the web address which contains Youtube video inside.

For example, just input the "youtube.com" into the address field of New Download window, it will scan the webpage, and download the first Youtube video it found in that page automatically. Or, you can input the standard Youtube watch address (such as "youtube.com/watch?v=xxxxxx") to start download.

• Allow it to monitor the clipboard

You can modify this setting in the Options, we recommend you to turn on this feature (default is ON). It will automatically detect the text or URL which contains Youtube inside when you copy them.

For example: when you saw a Youtube video in someone's blog, just right click the video area, in the popup right mouse menu, select the "Copy embed html", the New Download window will popup automatically to allow you to download this video directly.

You can select the desired source from HD (High Definition), HQ (High Quality) or Noraml (Flash version) easily here. If you choose to save as music (MP3), you can also edit the MP3 tags here including Song Title, Artist, Album and Genre etc. The default audio quality settings are recommened for most of situation, but you can modify them here if you are familiar with them. Finally, please click the "Start" button to continue.

I can not download music/videos, what should I do to fix it?

Please try the suggestion below:

1. Check your Internet connection. If you are using proxy, make sure you have configurate it correctly in the options of "Download Youtube Music".
2. Some Youtube vidoes have country/location limitation due to copyright issue. To verify it, please use your webbrowser (IE, Firfox etc.) to open that video. You could use the Proxy to pass that limitation sometimes.

How to improve the final quality of MP3?

First, choose the highest quality version when starting download. You can select the "HD version" all the time, our program can auto choose the HQ or normal version if selected video has no HD version avaliable in the website. Then, use the default settings of "Audio quality", such as Audio bitrate, Sample rate and channel etc. Please note, the final output quality also depends on the orignial videos quality in the Youtube website.

The settings in the Options

Save the tasks when closing: if this option is selected, the download tasks (or jobs) will be saved automatically. Next time you open the program, all the tasks will be loaded, which allows you to continue download or re-download music/vidoes. To delete unused task or re-download tasks, please click the right mouse button at the task list area.

Show the New Download window when adding a new task: If you are satisfied with the output settings, you could uncheck this opiton (or select the "Do not ask me again, use these settings for all the downloads" in the New Download window), next time you add a new task, it will be downloaded direclty and silently. Please note, this option will not be saved, which means, if you close the program, the setting will be reset to checked state automatically.

HTTP proxy: Modify the proxy settings according to your network configuration, please contact your network administrator if you need more suggestion.
